Did you know that May 1st marked an important milestone in Montreal's journey as a leading Canadian financial center?
It was in 2008 that TSX Group and Montréal Exchange merged their operations and created a new entity, TMX Group.
For 15 years now, Montreal Exchange has been Canada's derivatives exchange, trading interest rate, index and equity derivatives, while the Toronto floor manages Canada's two national exchanges: Toronto Stock Exchange (large caps) and TSX Venture Exchange (venture capital).
