June 2026
Hello everyone,
What a fantastic time for Francis Sabourin!
After his daughter Mélissa joined his team a few months ago, he’s now making a name for himself professionally.
He has just won the “The Avenue Living Awards” in the “Portfolio/Discretionary Manager of the Year” category at the 2026 Wealth Professional Awards!

The award was presented a few days ago at an event held in Toronto, which brought together the cream of the crop of the Canadian securities industry.

With a bachelor’s degree in finance, a Financial Planner (Pl. Fin.) designation, and RIS accreditation, Francis took a gamble by offering discretionary management services at a time when it was still uncommon—a time when he had to educate clients, earn their trust, and generate returns that met their expectations.
He rose to the challenge with flying colors, having practiced discretionary management for several years using his
Vision ● Planning ● Management (VPG) approach.
Before joining Richardson Wealth in 2006, he worked as a financial advisor at various brokerage firms, including Groupe Option Retraite and Merrill Lynch Canada, which later became CIBC Wood Gundy.
A graduate of McGill University with degrees in economics and finance, Francis Sabourin has been actively involved in his community for many years. He is a member of the Canadian Olympic Committee and serves as a mentor at CFA Montréal.
Congratulations, Francis!
Michael, Hossein, Jean-Marc, Kristopher, Stéphane and Mélissa
