February 2024
Hello everyone,
February is the month of love... and RRSPs!
This is a great opportunity to celebrate your love and to review your joint finances to ensure that the situation is fair (and clear!) between you and your loved one. The Institut québécois de planification financière has prepared a video full of good advice, which you can watch
here (in French) or read about it
here.
As for RRSPs, the deadline for investing is February 29, not March 1 as in the past, since 2024 is a leap year.
As a general rule, investing in an RRSP is a profitable option for most taxpayers.
Another avenue to explore is that of contributing to your spouse's RRSP, in cases where incomes are not equal.
Whatever your situation, we can help you see things more clearly and make the best possible decisions.
Take care and see you soon!
